Volleyball Recap: Campolindo Comes Up Short

Campolindo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Las Lomas Knights. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While Campolindo had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 22-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Las Lomas was led to victory by Jayden Chung and Dylan Pierce. Chung had 34 assists, while Pierce had 13 digs and one assist. Those 13 digs gave Pierce a new career-high.

Campolindo's defeat dropped their record down to 18-17. As for Las Lomas, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-8.

Campolindo has already played their next contest (against Acalanes), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Las Lomas, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against College Park on the 1st.
