Basketball Game Preview: Bracken Christian Warriors vs. Sacred Heart Indians

The Bracken Christian Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Sacred Heart Indians at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bracken Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Sacred Heart likes a good challenge.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Bracken Christian against Faith Academy as the team secured a 74-46 victory. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Wyatt Parsons and Ethan Cruz were among the main playmakers for Bracken Christian as the former went 14 for 26 on his way to 31 points and eight rebounds and the latter went 8 of 12 en route to 21 points along with five assists and three steals. That's the most boards Parsons has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Colin Speer, who posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Bracken Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart entered their tilt with Round Top-Carmine on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Cubs 57-38.

Sacred Heart pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.1 points per game. As for Bracken Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Bracken Christian lost to Sacred Heart on the road by a decisive 81-66 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Bracken Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
