Football Game Preview: Watts Engineers vs. Medford Cardinals

The Watts Engineers are taking a road trip to square off against the Medford Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Watts is looking for their season's first victory.

Watts had taken Oaks-Mission down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Engineers had to suffer through a 56-6 loss at the hands of the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Medford got themselves on the board against Bluejacket last Friday, but Bluejacket never followed suit. They blew past the Chieftains, posting a 50-0 win. That's two games straight that the Cardinals have won by exactly 50 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Medford and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 points in those games. As for Watts, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Watts took a serious blow against Medford when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 48-0. Can the Engineers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
