Soccer Game Preview: Grass Lake vs. Leslie

The Grass Lake Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Leslie Blackhawks at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Grass Lake's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Grass Lake was handed a four-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They never let Hanover-Horton get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Grass Lake as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Leslie hasn't lost a match since April 1st, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They and Columbia Central finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Leslie's first draw of the season.

Grass Lake's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. Leslie's draw makes their record 4-1-1 this season.
