Only one new team enters this week Top 25.

Bryce Young of Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) had a historic night as the Monarch's finished the regular season 10-0 with a dominant 51-14 win over JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.).

The 2020 Alabama commit broke his own school record completing his first 17 passes, ending 17-of-17 passing for 373 and accounted for five touchdowns. Mater Dei has won every game by double digits this season and is winning by nearly 40 points per game.

The CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoff bracket was announced earlier today and the No. 1 team in the country opens up against Bishop Amat (La Puente, Calif.).

No. 2 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) is in the same postseason bracket and the Braves open up against Calabasas (Calif.). The Braves bounced back after suffering their only loss of the season against the Monarchs and beat Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) 56-10.

No. 12 Lowndes (Valdosta, Ga.) ended its regular season 10-0 with a 28-17 win over a very good Colquitt County (Moultrie, Ga.) squad. The Vikings have won every game by double digits this year and up next is the Georgia 7A playoffs.

No. 14 IMG Academy's (Bradenton, Fla.) season came to an end this past week as the Ascenders cruised to a 38-7 win against Hoover (Ala.). They finish the year 9-1 and have won 52 of its last 54 games.

No. 17 Chandler (Ariz.) played in the most exciting Top 25 game as Daveon Hunter scored a touchdown in the final minute to give the Wolves a 42-38 win. It was the Wolves' 23rd consecutive victory and they will be the No. 1 seed in the inaugural Arizona Open Division playoff bracket. They open up against 2020 Ohio State commit Jack Miller and Chaparral (Scottsdale).

The only new team to join the Top 25 was St. John's (Washington, D.C.). They beat DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) 24-20 to improve to 3-0 in the WCAC. With a win against No. 21 Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.) the Cadets will win the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference regular season title for the third consecutive year.
