Basketball Recap: Hope Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Hope Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Parkway Christian Eagles and fell 53-19. The Hawks lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 58-47 score last time.

Parkway Christian had a senior duo take command as Nathaniel Harrison posted nine points and four steals and Isaiah Harrison-Lizbinski earned 12 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. That's the most steals Harrison-Lizbinski has posted since back in February of 2024. Julian Montano was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Hope Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Parkway Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Hope Christian Academy has already played their next matchup, a 67-33 loss against Clarenceville on the 23rd. As for Parkway Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-42 victory against Novi Christian Academy on the 23rd.
