Soccer Game Preview: Pilgrim vs. Lincoln

The Pilgrim Patriots will challenge the Lincoln Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Pilgrim is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Mt. Hope, who was ranked 20th at the time (Pilgrim was ranked 17th). Neither the Patriots nor the Huskies could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result was nothing new for Pilgrim as the team haven't won a game since October 3rd.

Meanwhile, Lincoln played to a draw too, finishing 2-2 against St. Raphael Academy.

Tre Baker and Mahdi Ziani scored both of the Lions' goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Pilgrim's draw gives them a new season record of 8-6-3. Meanwhile, Lincoln's record is now 8-4-4.
