Volleyball Recap: Lytle Takes a Loss

Lytle lost against Hondo back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pirates fell just short of the Owls by a score of 3-2. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lytle took Hondo into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 15-point loss. The final score came out to 25-0, 0-25, 0-25, 25-0, 15-0.

Lytle's loss dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Hondo, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lytle is set to square off against their familiar foe Natalia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hondo will take on rival Poteet at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
