On Tuesday, Carrington faced Thompson in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Carrington Cardinals came out on top against the Thompson Tommies by a score of 61-50. This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the Tommies on February 6th, they had to take a 62-39 loss.

The victory made it two in a row for Carrington and bumps their season record up to 17-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points over those games. As for Thompson, they moved to 18-5 with that defeat, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Carrington will be playing in front of their home fans against Kindred at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Thompson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
