Baseball Recap: Grainger Triumphs

Grainger never let their opponents score on Monday. They came out on top against the Volunteer Falcons by a score of 4-0. The Grizzlies haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Not much got past Garrett Keiter, who gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks to keep Volunteer off the board. Keiter has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Grainger's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Linx Moore, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave Moore a new career-high.

Grainger's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Volunteer, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Grainger will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
