Lourdes Academy had won four straight home games and Lily Garcia did her part to make it five on Thursday. Lourdes Academy came out on top against the Monsignor Pace Spartans by a score of 3-1 thanks in part to Garcia, who had 26 digs and two aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10.4 digs per game.

The final score came out to 25-13, 17-25, 25-18, 25-13.

When it comes to explaining why Monsignor Pace lost, don't look at Tiffany Mirabal. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and one assist.

Lourdes Academy's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Monsignor Pace, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Lourdes Academy and Monsignor Pace should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Lourdes Academy (ranked 33rd) will meet St. Brendan (ranked 200th) at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Monsignor Pace will face off against Sagemont Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (160 vs. 325).
