 The Rainier Christian Mustangs's game  last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. They strolled past Pope John Paul II with  points to spare, taking the game  51-37. This was payback for Rainier Christian, who suffered a  45-17  defeat the last time these two teams met.
 Rainier Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Luci Ramey led the charge by  scoring 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Ramey has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nola Russell, who  scored 13 points.
 Rainier Christian's victory  ended a three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 6-5. As for Pope John Paul II, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rainier Christian will take on Sound Christian at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Pope John Paul II, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Evergreen Lutheran at 1:30  p.m.  on Saturday. Evergreen Lutheran's defense has only allowed 29.2  points per game this season, so Pope John Paul II's offense will have their work cut out for them.
