Walpole is 7-1 against Brookline since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Timberwolves are taking a road trip to challenge the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Walpole's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Brookline's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Walpole turned things around against Wellesley on Monday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Raiders.

Meanwhile, Brookline was not the first on the board on Monday, but they got there more often. They had just enough and edged out Weymouth 6-5. The game was the first time the Warriors have beaten the Wildcats on their field since May 10, 2017.

Eli Hoffman was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Jimmy DePalo also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Walpole's record is now 4-7. As for Brookline, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6.

Walpole skirted past Brookline 2-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Timberwolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
