Basketball Recap: Prescott Falls Short of St. Mary's in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Prescott can now relate to. They took a 70-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Mary's Knights. The Badgers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 68-50.

When it comes to explaining why Prescott lost on Monday, don't look at Uriah Tenette. Despite the final result, he shot 43% from the field on his way to 31 points and five boards. Tenette's evening made it 55 games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Josiah Peoples, who posted ten points and three steals.

Prescott's defeat dropped their record down to 22-7. As for St. Mary's, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Prescott nor St. Mary's have any future games scheduled.
