Basketball Recap: Terrell's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Terrell can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They managed a 54-50 win over the Temple Christian Eagles.

Jeremiah Thirdkill and Jessie Dejesus certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Thirdkill went 9 for 15 on his way to 23 points and five rebounds, while Dejesus posted 13 points in addition to eight boards and six assists. Thirdkill's morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Walker, who put up eight points and five rebounds.

Terrell's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Temple Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Terrell will square off against Gateway Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Temple Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-44 win against North Side on the 28th.
