Volleyball Recap: CSTHEA Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

CSTHEA came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Silverdale Academy Seahawks, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Patriots have suffered against the Seahawks since September 7, 2021.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-20, 25-12.

Audrey Richardson paced CSTHEA's offense, picking up five kills. Richardson got some help from Emmi Black and her 13 assists. Richardson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Silverdale Academy found their leader in freshman Emily Givens, who had seven digs and four aces. Givens has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

CSTHEA's loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 22-6. As for Silverdale Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 22-6.

CSTHEA has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Knoxville T on the 2nd. As for Silverdale Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Boyd-Buchanan on the 2nd.
