Softball Game Preview: Belfry Pirates vs. Pike County Central Hawks

The Belfry Pirates are taking a road trip to face off against the Pike County Central Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Belfry lost 13-1 to Livingston Central on Saturday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Pike County Central came up short against Russell on Saturday, falling 15-6. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Red Devils: they've now lost four in a row.

Belfry's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Pike County Central, their loss dropped their record down to 8-18.

Everything went Belfry's way against Pike County Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Belfry made off with an 11-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
