Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Joseph Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Houston Adventist Academy 75-44. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-54 back in January.

Ottis Crudup was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 34 points and ten boards for Houston Adventist Academy. The matchup was Crudup's 38th in a row with at least ten points. Isai Amador was another key player, putting up nine points and six steals.

St. Joseph Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Houston Adventist Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.

St. Joseph Catholic has already played their next game (against Allen Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Houston Adventist Academy will head out to take on Faith West Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Faith West Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Houston Adventist Academy likes a good challenge.
