Walkertown put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They never let the Parkland Mustangs get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wolfpack, who have now won 12 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Caden Joyce made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. That triple was his first of the season.

In other pitching news, Caleb Mobley looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Dakota Larimore, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of David Olmedo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Walkertown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Walkertown's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Parkland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Looking ahead, Walkertown will welcome Reidsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.17 runs per game on average), something the Wolfpack will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Parkland, they will head out to challenge R.J. Reynolds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
