It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Pacifica ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Camarillo Scorpions 8-6. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

The team relied heavily on Dario Navarro, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2025. Riley Ortega was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Pacifica kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Pacifica has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Camarillo, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pacifica will venture away from home to challenge Ventura at 3:30 p.m. on the 14th. As for Camarillo, they will head out to face off against West Ranch at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
