Volleyball Recap: NCSSM: Durham Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home + How To Watch

NCSSM: Durham took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Research Triangle, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Unicorns had just enough and edged out the Raptors 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Unicorns: when they faced off against the Raptors back in August, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

NCSSM: Durham had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 26-28, 19-25, 25-18, 27-25, 15-12.

Tess Crumpton was nothing short of spectacular: she had 27 digs and three aces. Those 27 digs gave her a new career-high.

NCSSM: Durham's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8. As for Research Triangle, with the loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-3.

NCSSM: Durham and Research Triangle should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Unicorns will challenge Triangle Math & Science at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (300 vs. 602). Meanwhile, Research Triangle (ranked 147th) will meet Voyager Academy (ranked 484th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
