Softball Recap: Commerce Takes a Loss

Commerce suffered their closest defeat since April 16, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Rivercrest Rebels by a score of 4-2. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kamdyn Mills and Karis Lewis stepped up to the plate in a big way. Mills went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Lewis went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Mills' launched this season.

Even though they lost, Commerce lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Commerce's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for Rivercrest, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Commerce will host Samuell at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rivercrest, they will face off against Gunter at 10:25 a.m. on Thursday. Gunter is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
