Football Recap: Franklinton Starts off Right with Win over Person + How To Watch

Franklinton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 29-20 victory over the Person Rockets on Friday.

A big part of Franklinton's win came down to the chemistry between Keith James and his top target Jamaal Epps. James threw for 292 yards and four touchdowns while Epps picked up 180 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Epps' longest reception was for an incredible 78 yards.

Franklinton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Walter Royster, Gebriel Gaskin, and Jonathan Manson picked up one apiece. Royster is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Franklinton will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Bunn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Person, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Halifax County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
