Softball Preview: Bermudian Springs Eagles vs. Hanover Nighthawks        
        
		
            The Bermudian Springs Eagles will venture away from home to  square off against the Hanover Nighthawks  at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Monday, Bermudian Springs made easy work of Camp Hill  and carried off  an  18-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five matches by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Makayla Reese made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base.

 In other batting news, Bermudian Springs got a  massive  performance out of  Katelyn Willow, who  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base. Willow is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games she's  played.  Sydney Kuntz was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with four  runs and two  RBI.
 Bermudian Springs was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .519. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .345 or higher in four consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, Hanover can  bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against William Penn, sneaking past  15-13.
 Bermudian Springs is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Hanover, their record now sits at 3-9.
 Bermudian Springs took their  victory against Hanover  in their previous matchup  back in March by a conclusive  17-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
