Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Ramon Valley). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Dougherty Valley Wildcats a 13-0 shutout on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Wolves with their most commanding win of the season.
Bryce Monte looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). San Ramon Valley is 2-1 when Monte allows three or fewer hits, but 4-5 otherwise.
