Basketball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

Trinity lost against Timber Creek back in December of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trinity Trojans lost 52-31 to the Timber Creek Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 587th, while the Falcons are ranked 191st).

Jillian Topping had a dynamite game for Timber Creek, going 8 of 10 on her way to 21 points and three steals. Those 21 points gave Topping a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Selah Armstrachan, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Trinity dropped their record down to 7-11 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Timber Creek, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Keller the next time they take the court. Trinity will head out to face Keller at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Timber Creek will host them at 5:45 p.m. on December 20th.
