Football Game Preview: Brusly Panthers vs. Donaldsonville Tigers

The Brusly Panthers will take on the Donaldsonville Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Brusly will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 12 points last Friday, then bounced right back against Belaire on Thursday. The Panthers claimed a resounding 51-12 victory over the Bengals. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-6.

Brusly got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Drake Vincent out in front who threw for 301 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.7 yards per attempt. Robdrick Covington helped Vincent out on the ground, rushing for 87 yards and three scores on only eight carries.

Meanwhile, Donaldsonville won against East Iberville last Friday with 36 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Tigers didn't even let White Castle on the board, marking the Tigers' second-straight 36-0 shutout. The victory was just business as usual for the Tigers, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

Brusly's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Donaldsonville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Brusly strolled past Donaldsonville in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 47-33. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
