Basketball Recap: Gresham Community Takes a Loss

Gresham Community lost against Almond-Bancroft back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Gresham Community Wildcats were outmatched by the Almond-Bancroft Eagles and fell 95-50. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 498th, while the Eagles are ranked 176th).

Gresham Community has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.9 points over those games. The win was the fourth in a row for Almond-Bancroft, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.

Looking ahead, Gresham Community will take on Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Almond-Bancroft does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
