             Scales Mound won the last time they faced River Ridge, and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Scales Mound Hornets had just enough and edged the River Ridge Wildcats out  2-1. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Hornets.
 Scales Mound had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-23,  25-17.
 Scales Mound was led to victory by  Anika Stadel and  Ellaina Kostenbader.  Stadel  had six  digs and three  aces, while  Kostenbader  had ten  digs, six  kills,  and two  aces. Those three  aces gave  Stadel a new career-high.
