Basketball Game Preview: Eminence Eels vs. Dugger Union Bulldogs

Having just played yesterday, the Eminence Eels will jump right back in to play the Dugger Union Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Eminence is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.

Eminence picked up another tournament win on Friday. They blew past Columbus Christian, posting a 58-28 win. The Eels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Dugger Union had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Mooresville Christian 27-25. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 629th, while the Eagles are ranked 268th).

Eminence's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Dugger Union, their record is now 3-7.

Eminence took a serious blow against Dugger Union in their previous matchup back in January of 2018, falling 73-15. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Eminence was down 40-7.
