Soccer Recap: Gravette Takes a Loss

Gravette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Bentonville West Wolverines, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Wolverines are ranked third).

Gravette's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Bentonville West, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gravette will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sallisaw at 7:00 p.m. on April 1st. Sallisaw will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Gravette surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bentonville West, they will host Bentonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bentonville's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Bentonville West's offense will have their work cut out for them.
