Soccer Game Preview: Woodberry Forest vs. St. Christopher's

The Woodberry Forest Tigers will head out to face off against the St. Christopher's Saints at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Woodberry Forest barely beat Bishop Ireton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers never let the Cardinals get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Woodberry Forest's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Bishop Ireton are ranked 164th).

Meanwhile, St. Christopher's waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Cougars. Two seems to be a good number for St. Christopher's as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Woodberry Forest's victory bumped their record up to 8-4-2. As for St. Christopher's, their win bumped their record up to 15-2-1.
