Basketball Game Preview: Hayden Wildcats vs. Springville Tigers

Hayden is 2-8 against Springville since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Hayden Wildcats face off against the Springville Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Hayden knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matches -- so hopefully Springville likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Hayden strolled past Mortimer Jordan with points to spare, taking the game 87-72. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Springville). They breezed by Center Point to the tune of 82-39 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Springville's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Hayden, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
