Recap: Batesburg-Leesville Panthers vs. Pelion Panthers
The Batesburg-Leesville Panthers won the last time they faced the Pelion Panthers, and things went their way on Friday too. Batesburg-Leesville walked away with a 52-42 victory over Pelion.
Batesburg-Leesville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Naesean Stewart, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Jr Stewart was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
When it comes to explaining why Pelion lost, one person who can't be blamed is Noah Pegues. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zyan Davis, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Batesburg-Leesville's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Pelion, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Silver Bluff the next time they take the court. Batesburg-Leesville will head out to face Silver Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Pelion will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
