Soccer Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Mid-Carolina Rebels, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Clinton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 151st, while Mid-Carolina are ranked 27th).

Clinton's goal came courtesy of Cade Lyda, who's now up to two this season.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Mid-Carolina, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Clinton will take on rival Chester at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mid-Carolina is set to challenge their familiar foe Eau Claire at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
