Football Recap: Alta Skates Past West Jordan with Ease

Alta got themselves on the board against West Jordan on Friday, but West Jordan never followed suit. They blew past the Jaguars 30-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Treven Cooke had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 251 yards and two scores while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 64 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Alta was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 315 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Jordan only rushed for three rushing yards.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Alta, adding 12 points to the final score. All those points came courtesy of Jack Mcallister: he added nine points with three field goals and another three kicking extra points.

Alta now has a winning record of 2-1. As for West Jordan, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alta will square off against Davis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will need to watch out since the Darts have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for West Jordan, they will take on Taylorsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguars are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
