Football Recap: Bear Turner's Menacing Defense Leads Alta over West Jordan

West Jordan came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Alta, but Treven Cooke wouldn't allow it. The Hawks blew past the Jaguars 30-0 on Friday for which the team can thank Cooke, who rushed for 251 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 64 yards.

Alta's defense made their presence known, laying out Ayden Dunn. four times. Bear Turner was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. He has been hot for a while, having also posted five or more total tackles the last 15 times he's played.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Alta, adding 12 points to the final score. All those points came courtesy of Jack Mcallister: he added nine points with three field goals and another three kicking extra points.

Alta now has a winning record of 2-1. As for West Jordan, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
