Hickman County dropped their record down to 9-9 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Hampshire Hawks by a score of 5-4. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 9-3.

As for Hampshire, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games.

For Hampshire's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keaon Nicholson, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hickman County will host Richland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hampshire, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Culleoka at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in the Hawks' favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while the Warriors have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
