Softball Game Preview: Gilmer Buckeyes vs. Sulphur Springs Wildcats

For the second straight game, Gilmer will face off against Sulphur Springs. The Buckeyes will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Gilmer has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Gilmer heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They fell just short of Sulphur Springs by a score of 1-0. The Buckeyes' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

The victory (which was Sulphur Springs' eighth in a row) raised their record to 25-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Gilmer, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-5-2.
