Volleyball Recap: Chicopee Comp Falls Short Against Ranked Westfield

Chicopee Comp faced Westfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Colts came up short against the Bombers, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Colts in their meetings with the Bombers: they've now lost nine in a row.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-16, 25-13.

Westfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nolan Rodgers out in front who had eight digs and three aces. Max Yurtuc was another key player, getting 14 assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Chicopee Comp fell to 7-1. As for Westfield, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Chicopee Comp will head out to square off against Central at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Westfield, they are taking a road trip to face off against Belchertown at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
