Baseball Recap: Northland Takes a Loss

After flying high against Marion-Franklin on Monday, Northland came back down to earth. The Vikings lost 14-3 to the Eastmoor Academy Warriors on Wednesday. The Vikings have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Northland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Wilson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one double. Another was Mikey Castellanos, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.

Northland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for Eastmoor Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Coming up, Northland will be playing at home against Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Eastmoor Academy, they have already played their next contest, a 20-4 victory against Independence on the 23rd.
