The Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 67-47 margin over Jordan-Matthews. The victory was just what Bartlett Yancey needed coming off of a 56-19 loss in their prior match.

Bartlett Yancey found their leader in underclassman Alexis Farrish, who scored 14 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jakia Pinnix, who scored 15 points along with three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Jordan-Matthews lost, one person who can't be blamed is Reagan Smith. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Patience Cox was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.

Bartlett Yancey's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Jordan-Matthews, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bartlett Yancey is on the road again on Wednesday and plays Northwood at 6:00 p.m. on February 14th. As for Jordan-Matthews, they will face off against Seaforth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Seaforth's favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home while Jordan-Matthews has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
