Basketball Recap: Marin Catholic Comes Up Short

Marin Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 63-51 to the San Marin Mustangs. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 56-47.

San Marin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grant Means, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 19 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of J.D. Rhodes, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 16 points.

Marin Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for San Marin, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marin Catholic will host Ukiah at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for San Marin, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Encinal at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. San Marin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.6 points per game this season.
