There's no place like home for South Iredell, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Davie County War Eagles on Thursday. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the War Eagles, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 27-25, 26-24.

Emma Line paced South Iredell's offense, picking up 13 kills. Line got some help from Amiya Stutts and her 17 assists. Delaney Karriker controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

South Iredell is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Davie County, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-5.

South Iredell has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Lake Norman on the 16th. As for Davie County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Statesville on the 16th.
