There's no place like home for St. John XXIII, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They strolled past the Pasadena Eagles with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 52-34. The Lions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Pasadena lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Emily De La Garza, who went 7 for 17 on her way to 15 points and four steals. De La Garza is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caryme Molina, who posted 13 points.

The win got St. John XXIII back to even at 2-2. As for Pasadena, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11.

St. John XXIII didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-31 loss against Crosby on the 7th. As for Pasadena, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 40-31 defeat against Splendora on the 10th.
