Solvay had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Skaneateles on Sunday. The Bearcats put the hurt on the Lakers with a sharp 10-2 victory. The Bearcats have beaten the Lakers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lakers has come to flipping the script.

Solvay's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Skaneateles, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Solvay will venture away from home to square off against Altmar-Parish-Williamstown at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bearcats are facing the Rebels at the right time seeing as the Rebels are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Skaneateles, they will face off against Cazenovia at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Cazenovia will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Skaneateles surely won't give up without a fight.
