Football Recap: Hancock Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hancock came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 35-0 defeat at the hands of the Pascagoula Panthers. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Hawks haven't been shut out since back in September.

Kaison Koenenn threw for 50 yards on 12 of 24 attempts.

Amarie Jackson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pascagoula, rushing for 195 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. The Panthers are undefeated when Jackson posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-5 otherwise. Sean Norvel helped out on the ground, rushing for 89 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Pascagoula, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hancock is set to face off against their familiar foe Long Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pascagoula will challenge rival Gautier at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Jackson and Latrell Pogue.
