Baseball Game Preview: Brookfield Warriors vs. Jackson-Milton Bluejays

The Brookfield Warriors will challenge the Jackson-Milton Bluejays at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Brookfield will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Crestview, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Warriors skirted past the Rebels 3-2.

Brandon Hardman made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hardman was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Devan Reardon was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Jackson-Milton posted their closest victory since April 22, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over Crestview.

The team relied heavily on Dom Krol, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Brookfield couldn't quite get it done against Jackson-Milton when the teams last played back in April of 2023 as they fell 12-7. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
