Basketball Recap: Kenston Forest Piles Up the Points Against Tidewater Academy

Kenston Forest came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points), and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to the Tidewater Academy Warriors for the full four quarters, racking up an 80-30 win. The Kavaliers pushed the score to 65-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors had no chance of recovering from.

Kenston Forest's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dayton Williams, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine boards. Williams has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 21 times he's played. Will Johnson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds.

Kenston Forest smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Tidewater Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Aydan Phillips and Camden Hawkins. Phillips posted ten points, while Hawkins had ten points.

Kenston Forest pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points over those games. As for Tidewater Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.
