Volleyball Recap: North Broward Prep Takes a Loss

North Broward Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Somerset Academy Panthers. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-22, 17-25, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Daniel Bayona, who had eight digs and three aces. Those eight digs gave him a new career-high. Lucas Rivero also deserves some recognition as he had his first blocks of the season.

North Broward Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Somerset Academy, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5.

North Broward Prep has already played their next matchup (against Avant Garde Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Somerset Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against American Heritage on the 2nd.
